And build something unforgettable for our future.
Dapto…Where Legends Were Made, and More Are Yet to Come!
From Local Grounds to Greatness: Celebrating 70 Years of Sporting Excellence
Join us for a special evening hosted by Tim Robinson, as we honour Dapto’s proud sporting legacy and the remarkable contributions of our local clubs.
Enjoy a night of cocktail-style food service, a raffle, and live panel discussions featuring representatives from Hockey, Baseball, Cricket, and Rugby League. They’ll share stories, unforgettable moments, and the highlights that have shaped our sporting community over the decades.
We’re proud to welcome an incredible lineup of confirmed panelists, including:
Paul McGregor
Dapto junior and senior footy standout, Paul went on to play for the Illawarra Steelers and represent Australia and NSW in fourteen Origin games. He later coached the Dragons from 2014–2020 and has since returned to Dapto as Coaching Director
Trent Johnston
A product of Dapto Cricket, Trent would go onto play state cricket for NSW before moving to Ireland and going on to play 67 ODIs, 30 T20 internationals, even captaining the country at the Cricket World Cup. Since retiring, he’s held the role of Head Coach for the NSW team.
Jye Pitt
One of Dapto’s finest exports, Jye represented Australia at the U19 World Championships before signing with the Chicago Cubs of the MLB, playing two seasons in their minor league sides. Back home, he starred with the Illawarra Flame in Sydney’s Major League.
Simon Beaton
Widely regarded as the best player to ever represent Dapto Hockey, Simon came through the club as both a junior and senior player, going on to play over 130 men’s games. He represented New South Wales in outdoor hockey and earned international caps for Australia in indoor hockey. Simon also played for the Australian Masters Over 35s team.
